How do I register on a course?
To register on a course the user must first register on the portal.
Is it possible to have a free trial of the courses?
It is possible to view an extract of the language courses before paying the full registration fee. Clicking on "Demo" on the homepage to view these extracts.
When is it possible to register on a course?
It is possible to register on a course at any time because all the courses are individual courses.
What is the duration of a course?
The Basic users A2 to B1 and Independent Users B1 to B2 level courses each consist of 10 units. The average duration of 1 unit is five hours although of course this will depend on the individual user and the on the activities within the unit that they choose to complete.
In order to register on a course is it necessary to carry out some entry test?
It is not compulsory but it is that the user complete the Self-Assessment questionnaire before starting a course. This will help you determine your level in order to identify the course that best suits your needs.
How do I do the Self-Assessment Questionnaire?
To complete the Self-Assessment questionnaire, the user should click on the language that they wish to study and click on the Self-Assessment questionnaire icon. The user should complete the questionnaire ticking the boxes which they consider appropriate to the present level of their language skills. Once completed they should press on the Submit button. On the basis of the results to the Self-Assessment questionnaire the portal will indicate which course level is best suited to the user's needs.
Is there a final test at the end of the course?
There is no real final test since each course unit consists of different exercises for which the user is awarded a separate score after completing each of them. These different assessment results are then merged into a final global score measuring the user's achievement for the whole course.
- If the user completes 3 to 9 units of one of the language courses, the ELS portal will, on request, issue a Progress report stating the scores attained in each of the completed units as well as the communication skills covered in these units.
- If the luser completes 10 units, the ELS portal will, on request, issue a Final Achievement report stating the scores attained in different units as well as an average score of the overall level achieved, as well as the communication skills covered in these units.

Is the online tutor compulsory?
The online tutor is strongly recommended but user can register on a course with or without the tutor option.
Is it possible to register on more than once course at the same time?
